The Lodge is situated at the head of a picturesque valley in the foothills of the Tararua Ranges in the Wairarapa . The Lodge provides peaceful accommodation among native New Zealand bush and is the ideal getaway venue.

Lodge Accommodation and Facilities

The Lodge has three bedrooms.
Bedroom configuration:

  • Room 1:  bunk beds
  • Room 2:  bunk beds
  • Room 3: 1 queen bed

 

Two Large bathrooms with double basins and 3 toilets

The Lodge is fully furnished.

Kitchen is very well equipped with gas hob and oven, plus barbeque in covered courtyard. You just need to bring the food or ask about Susie's delicious meals.

CD player, no broadcast TV, no cell phone reception, landline in lodge.

The Rates

Deluxe : $120 per person, includes dinner, bed and breakfast, maximum 5
Budget : $48 per person, BYO sleeping bag or linen and towels. Feather Duvets on each bed.
$25 per child, under 15 years, (under 2 years free)
Economy: $68 per person, all linen supplied.
$30 per child under 15 years (under 2 free)
Minimum charge, $120 per night.
There is a non-refundable deposit of $100 required to secure all bookings.

Lodge booked exclusively to one party at a time.

Dining

The large country kitchen is very well equipped and ready for you to prepare your own food in. 

If you would like catering Susie offers a small range of food, from French Provincial to Gluten or Dairy free.

Things to Do

The Lodge is surrounded by native bush. There some relaxing walks to do, or more challenging ones if you want to push yourself. It is a short drive to go into Mt Holdsworth and tramp in there.

There is a table tennis table upstairs, petanque, badminton/volleyball set up, plenty of board games and cards to keep the whole family entertained.

It is a 30min drive to any of the Wairarapa towns; Masterton, Carterton, Martinborough and Greytown.
